Those of you that follow me on Facebook or on Instagram have already seen that I have been crocheting a pair of bags. My nieces had to attend a first communion and my sister-in-law was not able to find bags fitting their dresses and which they like. So she asked me to make them some nice bags to be really beautiful that day.
After chosing between aaall the possibilities I found, I decided to make this first bag.
It is based on a pattern from Tejiendoperu that you can find here. From this, I have made some modifications. As the dress is white and navy blue, I have used both colours to make live the bag up. And I have changed the handle from the one in the original pattern. In this case it is just composed of alternatind colour rows of single crochet, double crochet and slip stitch.
My nieces were wearing identical dresses, but I wanted the bags to be different, so I changed the design for the second one. The flap and the handle are different from the previous one. The flap is just making a circle. If any of you is interested in the pattern, just tell me and I will share it with you.
And that pretty were my nieces the communion day, with their new dresses and their matching bags.
They are so happy with their new bags that they now use them at any time.
It makes you happy when you have your order please the owner. And I have already been ordered to make a purse for my older niece first communion next year. There are so many possibilities.... can you suggest me any you like? I think I will search different models and I will let her to choose the one she likes more.
